Adventure Club is a community for reactive dogs and their people, built around getting out, doing more and enjoying life together.

You don't need the easiest dog in Melbourne to have adventures. Sometimes you just need the right places, the right support and people who genuinely get it.

Maybe right now you're mostly thinking about what you can't do. The busy walking track is a nightmare. Group walks feel completely out of reach. You see other people taking their dogs places and wonder why everything with yours has to be so bloody complicated.

After a while, you stop trying. You stick to the same safe walks, avoid the places that might be too much and quietly accept that this is just what life with your dog looks like.

A place where your dog doesn't have to be the easy one

Adventure Club is designed around dogs who need a little more thought. Maybe yours gets overexcited, needs space, has opinions about other dogs or simply isn't a ‘throw them into a dog park and hope for the best’ kind of dog.

Sessions are led by a qualified trainer and structured so you can practise real-life skills, build confidence and have genuinely good experiences together. You'll be around people who understand why you crossed the path, why your dog needs more space and why something that looks tiny to everyone else can feel like a bloody massive win.

A Saturday walk with people who already understand your dog. A chance to practise the skills you've been working on somewhere other than your usual neighbourhood. A longer adventure somewhere beautiful. Maybe eventually it's off-leash outings, mantrailing, an expedition or a weekend away.

Find your people. Build a bigger life with your dog.

Adventure Club gives you regular small-group outings, coached practise sessions and a community of people who genuinely get it. You'll have plenty of opportunities to explore, build real-world skills and spend time around familiar dogs and people.

When you fancy doing something bigger, you can add longer adventures, off-leash outings, mantrailing, expeditions, camping trips and other special events along the way.

Your regular adventures, practise and community are included. You decide how far you want to take it.

For the ones who are always up for the next adventure.

Trail Crew is the inner circle of Adventure Club, for members who've found their people and want this to be a bigger part of life with their dog.

Think bigger adventures, new places, off-leash outings, expeditions and the sort of opportunities that don't necessarily fit into the regular calendar.

Alongside everything included in Adventure Club, Trail Crew gets first access to the calendar, the best pricing on bigger adventures and special events, included off-leash outings, and access to selected Trail Crew-only adventures and opportunities.

It's not about having the ‘best’ dog or ticking off a list of training skills. It's about being a great fit for the community, being someone we know and trust, and being ready to do more together.

A limited number of guest places are available on selected sessions and adventures, so if work, distance or life means a monthly membership doesn't make sense, you can still come along when something suits.

FAQs

  • Reactive dogs are exactly who Adventure Club was created for. Your dog doesn't need to be completely comfortable around other dogs, and barking, grumbling or having feelings isn't going to get you kicked out of the group.

    Sessions are structured with space, movement and support so your dog can practise being around other dogs without being expected to interact with them.

  • That's incredibly common. Plenty of people arrive at their first session feeling nervous about how their dog will behave, whether everyone will stare if they bark, or whether they'll be the one holding up the group.

    You won't be thrown in and expected to figure it out. I'll help you find the space you need, and you'll be surrounded by people who understand exactly why you're there.

  • That depends on what ‘can't be around other dogs’ looks like for your dog.

    We can give dogs plenty of space and structure the session around what they can handle, but they do need to be able to safely participate in a group environment at some distance.

    Tell me about your dog first. If Adventure Club isn't the right starting point yet, I'll recommend something that will help you get there.

  • No stress. Adventure Club runs multiple sessions throughout each month, so you don't need to make every session.

    Your membership includes regular Community and Practise Sessions, with Extended, Off-leash and Premium Adventures available when you want to do more. If you've booked something and can't make it, just check the cancellation conditions and free up your place as early as you can.

  • Absolutely. If the bigger adventures are what you're here for, you don't need to attend every Community or Practise Session as well.

    Some adventures do have prerequisites, particularly off-leash or more challenging outings, because I need to know that they'll be a good fit for you and your dog. Those requirements will always be clear when you book.

  • Locations change depending on what we're doing. Most regular Adventure Club sessions are held across Melbourne's north, while Extended and Premium Adventures take us further afield.

    For the bigger stuff, expect a bit of travel. We generally stay within around three hours of Melbourne's north.

  • It depends on the session and your dog. For most adventures you'll need a suitable leash and collar or harness, with different gear sometimes required for off-leash adventures, mantrailing or other special events.

    You'll get all the relevant information before you come, so you'll know exactly what to bring.
